Barbara, Matt and I made the Pompadour area of Ashland our home in 1994.  We purchased a thirty-eight acre property that was bare land with an old home site situated on the crest of the hill surrounded by white oaks. We built our present day home in 1995 on the old home site.  In the summer of 1995 we planted five acres of Merlot on the hillside to the west of our home. In early 2013 we purchase a neighboring eighty-seven acre parcel with approximately forty acres planted in Merlot, Grenache, Mourvedre, Marsanne, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah,  Malbec, Tempranillo and Albarino.
